Motherwell vs Rangers injury latest: Key Ibrox star a Hampden doubt as 10 players ruled out of semi-final

It’s the second of two semi-finals at Hampden this weekend as Motherwell collide with Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
Ibrox boss Philippe Clement is coming under intense pressure and some are beginning to call for his head after a difficult start to the domestic season. A defeat to Aberdeen midweek leaves them nine points behind the Dons and Celtic after Halloween, and defeat here is best avoided to ensure no extra heat is cranked up.

Hide AdMotherwell will have designs on a shock though. Memories of the 2017/18 season where Stephen Robinson’s side left Pedro Caixinha’s men reeling after a 2-0 win in the semi-final of this competition has got fans in claret and amber believing they can take advantage of another Rangers side firmly on the ropes.
Make no mistake, however, the Light Blues are still firm favourites for this one and anything other than a Rangers win will be a cup shock. Both sides don’t have injury troubles to seek ahead of this one.
18-year-old Lennon Miller will captain the Steelmen with Paul McGinn out and vice-skipper Stephen O’Donnell also injured. There’s a doubt over a key Ibrox star’s involvement in Vaclav Cerny, taking the total outs across the pair to 10 with a couple of doubts on the Rangers front.
