Celtic play Aberdeen in a Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash this weekend.

Celtic are looking to keep up their Treble quest this weekend when they return to Hampden for the first time this season.

Brendan Rodgers' side are accustomed to winning at the national stadium like they so often have over the last decade, but seldom have they come up against an outfit as strong as this current Aberdeen side.

Jimmy Thelin's men have matched them stride for stride so far this campaign in the Premiership, with nine wins and a draw each, that latter result against each other at Parkhead. Now they meet in a mouthwatering Premier Sports Cup semi-final for the chance to play Motherwell or Rangers in next month's showpiece.

Boss Rodgers rotated his team midweek against Dundee but expect him to go full strength against this Aberdeen team. There might be a Champions League challenge to come against RB Leipzig midweek but this game is too important to be leaving to chance.

Last time out at Hampden, it was a memorable day for Celtic. They beat rivals Rangers in the Scottish Cup final to seal a double and having been used to titles and trebles in recent years, this type of fixture is one they often win.

Two stars in Callum McGregor and Nicolas Kuhn return to the team following injuries, as part of four changes overall made by the boss ahead of this one. Take a look at who we think will play in the game below.

Schmeichel; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Taylor; McCowan, McGregor, Engels; Maeda, Kyogo, Kuhn.
