Rangers and Leeds United have been mentioned with the winger.

Rangers have reportedly been put on standby over a former player - as top European sides and Leeds United watch on.

Ryan Kent left Ibrox in 2023 at the end of his contract. While his last season in Govan was a disappointment in the end, he is still remembered at Rangers for his key role in the Premiership title win in 2021 and Scottish Cup final win a year later.

He also played a part in the run to 2022’s Europa League final under Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The former Liverpool youngster joined Fenerbahce after Rangers but Kent has been dogged by exit rumours for a large portion of that stint amid a lack of selection.

Now the Turkish giants have confirmed his contract has been ripped up. A statement reads: "The contract with Ryan Kent, one of the Professional Football A Team players, has been terminated by mutual agreement.”

It’s been stated in the Scottish Sun that “Rangers are one of a number of top European sides on transfer alert tonight after former Ibrox hero Ryan Kent agreed a mutual termination of his contract with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.” Leeds United are also claimed as “long term admirers.”

That will spark an “almighty scramble for the players' services.” Kent has turned down moves away from Fenerbahce in the past, with a shock move to Lazio reportedly collapsing in the most recent January transfer window. Clubs like Rangers and Leeds United though will now be able to make a move for the player on a free.
