Rangers are being ran like a circus as ex Ibrox star slams transfer moment club 'let themselves down'
Former Rangers star Derek Ferguson has accused his old club of being run like a circus after slamming a failed piece of summer transfer business.
Ibrox boxx Philippe Clement recruited nine new players during the window, with Mohamed Diomande’ loan deal made permanent and Oscar Cortes returning for a second loan spell.

Clement was reportedly chasing a late loan swoop for Southampton winger Samuel Edozie before the deal fell through in the final stages. Rangers had been in advanced talks with the Premier League outfit but fans were left perplexed as to why the transfer wasn’t completed in time.
Frustrated Saints manager and ex-Gers defender Russell Martin placed the blame firmly on Rangers doorstep for the manner in which the move collapsed which left him fearing Edozie wouldn’t have enough time to find another club. However, the player did eventually manage to secure a switch to Belgian side Anderlecht.
Discussing the situation at the time, Martin said: “What frustrated me was how late it fell through and it wasn't on our end. I think it's a bit unfair to Sam really. It's a bit disappointing but it is what it is. Every club has their prerogative and their priorities in the transfer window. I was gutted for Sam because it was too late to then find another opportunity to go and play football. He'll get to work like everyone else now. Get his head down, work really hard and try and get himself into the squad and into the team.”

He told Ibrox News: “I've not got a clue (what happened), but Russell has come out and he says it was Rangers’ fault and do you know something? He’s probably right. It's been a bit of a circus at the moment. There’s so many things where Rangers let themselves down big time. And that just looks like another one.
“So if Russell Martin’s come out and said that, do you know something? I believe him. Rangers probably have been at fault, as they have been with a number of issues over the course of the last number of years, so that wouldn’t surprise me one single bit.”
