Rangers boss sends honest 'we need to be better' message to players after unconvincing St Mirren win
Frustrated Philippe Clement has accepted Rangers will need a performance similar to their midweek Europa League win over FCSB when they make the trip north to face Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

It was the Light Blues seventh win in a row over the Paisley outfit stretching back to December 2020 and ensured the Buddies suffered a fourth consecutive defeat. However, the manner of his side’s performance left Clement in no doubt his players will have to improve significantly to get the better of the table-topping Dons when they travel to Pittodrie.
“We need to be better than today,” Clement told BBC Sportsound. “We need to be at the level we were at on Thursday, but it's a totally different game. Now it's about recovering for Wednesday and seeing who is fit and available. It's important to take these three points when they are well-deserved.

It's about winning the points and about deserving to win the points and clearly today we created most of the chances and we scored two goals and two good goals.”
Czech winger Vaclav Cerny netted the match-winner for Rangers in the second half - his fifth goal in four games - and the Bundesliga loan star earned praise from his manager for the way he has responded to some fierce criticism of his early performances this season.
The Belgian admitted: “He got a lot of stick three weeks ago and that was his reaction. Those are the kind of people we need in the building.”
