The transfer window has been open almost a month now and it’s been a busy time in Scottish football.
Near the top of the table, it’s been all quiet when it comes to Celtic while Rangers have ushered in a new batch of young players as an experienced crop head out. At Hearts, Steven Naismith is almost finished shopping already after a rapid fire start. Hibs are still rebuilding under new head coach David Gray with St Mirren and Kilmarnock having to bulk up their squads for European endeavours.
Investment talk has been rife at both Motherwell and St Johnstone but fans are keen to see signings too. Then there’s the small matter of a Dundee derby, while Aberdeen and Ross County look ahead to new eras under new management.
Taking into account factors like amount of signings, quality and departures, we rank each club’s transfer window to date to get a feel for how each team is shaping up.

9. Motherwell - 8/10
A major recruitment overhaul has seen eight fresh faces brought in alongside returns for Andy Halliday and Sam Nicholson. Lots of key areas addressed and only not a perfect score due to injuries picked up by a few, and Stuart Kettlewell still has a desire to sign two or three more. | SNS Group

10. Rangers - 6/10
This is tough to call. Rangers are building for the future with the profile of the player they are signing in the 20-23 age bracket mainly. But are they ready? That's another question yet to be answered, and there's still so much doubt over a number of first team stars. They have been busy but more experience wouldn't go amiss and there's so many who need clarity over whether they are staying or going. | SNS Group

11. Ross County - 6/10
Bolstered at the back with three signings and creativity added through Charlie Telfer. Need more going forward and this rating goes right down if they lose Simon Murray to Hibs and Dundee, who are said to have targeted him. | SNS Group

12. St Johnstone - 5/10
A striker signing in Uche Ikpeazu is already injured, while Josh Rae, Jack Sanders and Josh McPake all face having to step up from spending time in divisions below the Premiership last term. Lost a number of experienced players - like captain Liam Gordon to Motherwell - and not necessarily replaced them yet. A lot being asked of younger stars at present. | SNS Group
