Rangers ace named star player as Europa League Team of the Round confirmed
Rangers were excellent in their Europa League game against FCSB, when they destroyed the Romanian outfit by a score of 4-0 at the Ibrox Stadium - and one of the Light Blues’ players stood out in particular.
Vaclav Cerny scored a brace against the club formerly known as Steaua București, notching up an assist along the way. Tom Lawrence also got his name on the scoresheet, as did Hamza Igamane.

Hide AdCerny’s performance was singled out for praise - his efforts earned him the highest rating of any player on WhoScored during this set of Europa League fixtures. After all was said and done, Cerny picked up a rating of 9.5 from the site. Not only was he the highest rated player, he was the also the only player to pick up a 9 rating.
While he was the only Rangers player who made it into their team of the round, he was not the only Gers star to attain a high rating. Nicolas Raskin picked up a rating of 8.0, Nedim Bajrami was given a score of 7.9 and Jefte attained a rating of 8.1.
It was a much needed win for the Light Blues, following their disappointing loss against Kilmarnock last time out in the Scottish Premiership. Philippe Clement’s men will take on St. Mirren in their next outing - can they turn this positive result into a run of good form?
