Rangers ratings vs Kilmarnock: Clement's men let Celtic off hook as they throw away chance to make up ground

Rangers have been left with questions to answer after a troubling day in Kilmarnock - here’s how we rated the players.

Rangers have thrown away a huge chance to make up ground on Celtic after losing 1-0 at Kilmarnock.

The Light Blues had an opening to reduce the deficit to their rivals leading the way in the Premiership by two points, following their 2-2 draw against Aberdeen. But Philippe Clement’s side were left to rue their day after a second domestic loss this season.

Killie matched the Ibrox side stride for stride in the match and it was Derek McInnes’ men creating the majority of chances, not Rangers. It took until the closing stages of the second half for a deadlock to be smashed.

A ball forward wasn’t dealt with by the visitors and Marley Watkins got enough on it to deflect the shot past Jack Butland. Hamza Igamane went up the other end and passed up a huge chance to get Rangers level.

It now means the Light Blues are six points behind Celtic, as well as Aberdeen. Here’s how WhoScored rated the Rangers players at Rugby Park.
