Rangers player ratings vs St Johnstone: Standout star earns 8.1 after latest Scottish Premiership win

Rangers secured a 1-0 win over St Johnstone in their latest Scottish Premiership away day.

Rangers were able to tie up an important three points on the road on Sunday through a narrow 1-0 win over St Johnstone. After a goalless first half, the pressure was on Philippe Clement’s side to find the back of the net or risk slipping further behind runaway Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.

The only goal of the afternoon came after the hour mark, as James Tavernier pressured St Johnstone’s Jason Holt into an error, resulting in a costly own goal.

Rangers will come away frustrated they weren’t able to make more of their visit to McDiarmid Park, though. After 17 shots and 10 on target, as well as 61 percent of the possession, the stats tell a very different story to the scoreline.

However, the Light Blues will be pleased with a win following their previous 1-1 draw against Dundee United. The result puts them on 26 points ahead of their midweek clash with Kilmarnock at Ibrox. We’ve rounded up each player’s match rating according to WhoScored — take a look below at how each of the Rangers stars fared.
