Rangers confirmed starting XI vs Livingston: 2 enforced changes from Hearts win as crocked duo drop out
Danny Rohl has named his Rangers starting line-up to face rock-bottom Livingston in their latest Scottish Premiership clash in West Lothian
Danny Rohl has named his Rangers starting XI to face relegation-threatened Livingston Athletic for their latest Scottish Premiership encounter in West Lothian (KO: 3pm).
Two teams at opposite ends of the table go head-to-head, with the hosts currently nine points adrift of second-bottom Kilmarnock after a running out of games to avoid the drop, while the Light Blues will look to keep tabs on leaders Hearts at the summit.
The Ibrox side will be overwhelming favourites to secure maximum points, but will know they can’t take anything for granted against a team scrapping for their lives.
Team news: Two changes, injured duo drop out
Rohl has made TWO changes to his Rangers team from the side that ran out 4-2 winners over leaders Hearts at Ibrox last weekend, with skipper James Tavernier and Djeidi Gassama drafted in for injured duo Dujon Sterling and Ryan Naderi.
Versatile defender Sterling is omitted from the matchday squad all together along with winger Oliver Antman, but centre-forward Naderi is fit enough to take his place on the bench after picking up a niggle earlier in the week.
What has Tochi Chukwuani said pre-match?
“The mood is good. It was a great win at the weekend, and the atmosphere was really fantastic from the fans.
“We could really feel the energy and the high spirit from the fans. We will try and use this high energy against Livingston and get the three points.
“We just try to focus game-by-game. The last game was a great one and a great confidence booster. We’ll try and use this confidence for the next games.
“We know there is still room for improvement in the aspects of the game that we can improve on, so it’ll be great for us to have a full week to train and focus on the tactical aspects to bring it into the upcoming games.
“The main thing is not to get carried away and try to keep our heads down. When we do the work, the work will show on the pitch.”
