Rossvale looking to bounce back from cup defeat

Rossvale boss Gordon Moffat believes his side can use last Saturday's Scottish Junior Cup defeat by Pollok as a launching pad for the rest of their league campaign.

Pollok justified their tag as favourites by reaching the last 16 with a 3-0 win.

But Moffat says the Vale players can take heart from matching a quality Pollok side for long spells of the game.

However he's taking nothing for granted as his table-topping side prepare to resume their promotion push against Glasgow Perthshire at New Huntershill on Saturday.

He said: "There's no easy games in our league. Perthshire pushed Pollok hard in the last round of the Scottish so we know it's going to be a tough one.

"They scored four at the weekend so it's going to be like any other game, a tough tough game that we'll need to play well in to win.

"Our league form since we came in has been perfect so far and it's just about keeping that going.

"People have been talking about us being front runners but we've not even playedf half our games yet and we know that teams have got games in hand.

"So we're certainly not thinking that it's anything like a done deal, we've got a lot of hard work to do. We just have to keep putting points on the board and see where it takes us."
