Rossvale win Scottish Cup
Rossvale landed the trophy with a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen side Banks O’Dee Albion on Sunday afternoon.

Hide AdAnd their fantastic success made it a double celebration for the club after their under-17s beat Condorrat 2-1 at Broadwood on Sunday morning to win the Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and District League Cup.
Rossvale went into the under-16 final expecting a very tight and competitive match between two sides top of their respective leagues.
But they started the game with confidence and immediately put Albion under pressure - which was rewarded with a Scott Glover goal after just three minutes following a set piece.

Hide AdAlbion attempted to raise the tempo of the game, but Connor McBrearty and Glover gained control of the midfield and despite no further scoring at half-time the large Rossvalve support were pleased with their team’s dominance of the game.
The pattern continued into the second period with both teams trying to find the next score and Calum Holland was unlucky to see his effort saved.
In a rare attack Albion won a penalty which was saved by the excellent Pierce Finnie.

Hide AdRossvale then broke from this penalty with Robbie Brown releasing Christopher McLeod who shot low into the net to increase Rossvale’s lead.
Rossvale controlled the game until the final minutes and were unlucky to lose a goal seconds before the final whistle, but there was no denying them their cup glory.
