The Cumbernauld side came through two qualifying sections to reach the last eight of the Scottish Schools FA junior seven-a-side competition. They put on a spirited display of attacking football but were unfortunate not to reach the final itself which was won by West Primary School
from Paisley. They were cheered on by relatives and classmates who made plenty of noise throughout the day, adding to a fantastic atmosphere that will surely live on in this young team’s memories for many years to come. Headteacher Eileen Mulrooney and the staff at St. Andrew’s were very proud of their achievement and wish the team future success as they progress into P7.The team are (back, from left): Ross ‘The Boss’ Hamilton, Matthew ‘Terminator’ Smith, Cameron ‘The Cat’ Friel, Ryan ‘Razor’ Johnson, Dylan ‘Silent Assassin’ Reilly; (front) Sam ‘The Hitman’ Bryant, Gabriel ‘Crackers’ Lindsay, Logan ‘The Smiler’ McDuff, Caitlin ‘The Rocket’ McFarlane.
