Tiegan Clark, aged 17, was playing for Raith Rovers Girls U17s against Hibs Girls U17s in an East/South East league decider at Easter Road last Wednesday when she spotted the goalkeeper off her line, and sent a stunning lob into the net.

The amazing strike was captured by a film crew from Youth Football Scotland and the clip has gone viral, attracting over 45,000 views on Facebook.

“I saw the keeper was well off her line so I just kicked the ball as hard as I could towards the goal,” Tiegan said.

“I couldn’t quite believe it went over the keeper and right into the middle of the goal.

“It’s the best goal I’ve ever scored in my life. To make it even better it was at Easter Road and it was caught on camera!”

Raith went on to lose the match 3-2.

Tiegan, who is in sixth year at Kirkcaldy HS and hopes to join the Police when she leaves school, has been playing football for Raith Girls since she was 10.

She currently plays for the Under 17s team and is looking forward to playing for Raith Ladies next season, which starts in March 2016.
