Forth Wanderers beat Carluke Rovers 1-0

FORTH Wanderers ended Carluke Rovers’ incredible winning streak at 10 in a row by beating the John Cumming Stadium team 1-0 on their own patch in Saturday’s top-of-the-table Central Division 2 clash.

Rovers lost to a deflected shot by Forth’s Bryan Felvus in the 10th minute. Despite being reduced to 10 men midway through the second half when Alan Stevenson was sent off for a second booking, Forth held on to win.

Forth manager Jamie McKenzie, whose team is now second and just six points behind Carluke with a game in hand, said: “This was a very big game for us, so to win was extremely pleasing.”
