Forth Wanderers count the cost of vandalism

IN these recession-hit times, the last thing financially-stricken junior football clubs need is to incur additional expenses which are completely outwith their own making.

But that is exactly what has happened to Forth Wanderers, who face a repair bill of several hundred pounds after the latest spate of vandalism at their Kingshill Park ground.

“I can’t believe anyone would do this,” said Wanderers groundsman Jim Kelly.

“What’s happened is a really sore one for everyone on the committee here at Forth.
