Get set for Carluke’s annual road race

WITH just over a month to go before the Carluke 5k/10k Road Race, those taking part are well into their training schedule.

The race, organised by Carluke Development Trust, takes place on Sunday June 5. One of the major events in the Carluke calendar, there is still time for more people to take part.

And with this year being the 10th anniversary of the race, Development Trust chairman Tom Sneddon is hopeful of another huge turnout.

He said: “We are looking for more people to get involved and to take part in the races.

“The 5k Family Fun Run and walk is just that – you can run, walk, push the young one in a buggy, dress up, do it as a three legged race, anything you like. And this year there is a prize for the best fancy dress.
