Giffnock Soccer Centre runs for charity


Super Saturday will take place in and around George Square which is the start line for the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run on the Sunday. From the 100m Toddler Dash (pre-school), to the 1.5k Mini Run (3-8 years), the 3km Junior Run (9-15 years) and the Family Mile for children and adults, hundreds will be taking to the streets on the Saturday ahead of the senior 10k and half marathon races being held on the Sunday. There will be a whole host of entertainment including live music, food and drink.
With under three weeks to go until Scotland’s biggest running event, it will be televised live across the UK on BBC 2 for the very first time; a boost for the profile of the city of Glasgow.

The brand new Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run routes will take participants along some of Glasgow’s best known streets and past some of the city’s most famous landmarks, iconic buildings and inspirational Commonwealth Games venues.
The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run is open for entries at www.greatscottishrun.com. Super Saturday on October 5 sees the Toddlers Dash, Mini Run, Junior Run and Family Run take place. The adult 10k and half marathon, set to be broadcast live across the UK on BBC2 for the very first time, takes place on Sunday, October 6.
