An uncharacteristic fall on the beam saw Rachel (10)finish fourth in the elite level 3 competition, having been second on bars and third on floor.

Having both secured a top four finish, Courtney and Rachel will now go on to represent Scotland in Guilford next month.

Head coach Julie Graham said: “This is a great achievement for the young gymnasts and the national final is a fabulous experience for them to be part of.”

A number of other Dynamic gymnasts, who train at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, also picked up medals in Perth.
