Gold medals galore for Clydesdale girls

THERE was gold medal glory for Clydesdale’s P6 Girls team members, at the Primary Schools Cross Country Championships in Chatelherault Country Park.

St Mary’s Primary School pupil Erin Snow and team-mates Ruth Currie (Braidwood PS), Gemma Marriott (Braidwood PS) and Phoebe Robinson (Biggar PS) were the winning quartet for Clydesdale.

Organiser Shona Girdwood, of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, said: “Everyone who qualified for Thursday’s final voted it an absolutely brilliant day at a fabulous new venue after the move from Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds. And they are all looking forward to next year’s cross country race already!”
