Golf members mystified by apparent Kames ‘closure’
MEMBERS of a Clydesdale golf course are mystified by the club’s apparent closure, with one man saying it was “like the Marie Celeste”.
The clubhouse, professional shop, starters hut, dressing room and toilets at Kames Country Club have all been locked up for the past few days. And it was claimed that this was all done without the knowledge of any of the members.
Long standing member Bill Young (72), of Arnum Gardens, Carluke, said: “What is happening is absolutely shocking. There is something very strange going on, because management have given no consultation towards the members.
“Everything is locked up and this place is like the Marie Celeste.
