Girl power at Palacerigg Golf Club

CHRISTINA Work has got the boys worried at Palacerigg Golf Club.

She became the first girl winner of a junior trophy after scoring a net 65 in the Cumbernauld Floor and Roof Trophy.

Christina (13) came through the junior coaching programme at Palacerigg and obtained her first national handicap of 30 in August. Last year she played in the Palacerigg ladies open coming fourth in her category. This year her handicap has tumbled from 30 to 22 so far, with no sign of stopping.
