Great ski day for Mearns Castle High
PUPILS of Mearns Castle high school had plenty to celebrate after doing well in a ski competition.
The school’s girls’ group were triumphant in their team event, and Kate Taylor came third in the individuals girls competition.
The boys’ team did pretty well too, coming second behind a very strong squad from George Watson’s College in Edinburgh.
Zak Vinter came first in the overall boys competition, bringing the trophy back to Mearns Castle.
Both teams now qualify for the British Schools Championship.
