Gunning brothers aim for motocross glory

THREE brothers from Lanark are riding high in the Scottish motocross standings and are aiming for even more success.

Jay, Luke and Justin Gunning are near the top of the Scottish standings in their respective classes.

Jay (12), who now attends St Aidans High, is third in the 100 group class; 10-year-old St Mary's Primary pupil Luke leads the 100 auto class; and six-year-old Justin, also at St Mary's, is riding high in the standard 50 class.

Their dad John is understandably very proud of his boys.

He said: "I'm really proud of all of them because they are doing so well and we are doing this as a family."

At last weekend's meet at Leuchars, all three notched up impressive results in the Scottish and British Championships. The Scottish Championships will be decided next month at Duns.
