Linzi (18), of Carlindean Farm, triumphed overall at this year’s 12-round Scottish Tarmac Rally Championships, run by Dunfermline Car Club.

“Without a doubt Linzi had the least powerful car of anyone,” said her dad Walter.

“Her wee red and black Peugeot 107 was only 1000cc, yet she competed in the 1300cc class for more powerful cars.

“Linzi’s car had only 70 horsepower, whereas one of her rivals – Caroline Will from Fife – was competing in a 300 horsepower Subaru Impreza.

“Although Linzi was up against it, she did very well. She managed to outpace her rivals in 1300cc cars.”
