Husband and wife celebrate bowling win

This completed a remarkable double for the Stark family as Jim’s wife Maureen (66) landed the 2012 ladies championship at Castlehill BC.

The couple, of Stonedyke Crescent, Carluke, have been married since 1966 and joined Castlehill around 20 years ago.

“This is the first time a husband and wife have won these two titles in the same year at the club,” said Maureen, who has now won the ladies title on two occasions.

“This means a great deal to me, especially when you consider that my husband had cancer and had a breast removed at Wishaw General Hospital just last December.”
