Jack Frost puts sport to the sword as Rob Roy, Allan Glen’s and Lenzie RFC cool their heels

ROB Roy were left cursing the weather for the third week on the trot after Saturday’s league match became the latest winter casualty.

Rabs were due to take on Vale of Clyde, but a frozen pitch meant they were not given the chance to maintain the pressure on league leaders Petershill.

Following a win on Saturday, Peasie are now nine points ahead having played two more games than the Kirkintilloch team.

Rob Roy are due to meet their league rivals in a crunch match on Saturday, December 29.

Manager Jimmy Lindsay has been doing his best to keep his players fit with regular indoor training sessions at Soccerworld.

This Saturday Rob Roy are due to take on Kilsyth Rangers in the second round of the West of Scotland Cup.

The match, weather willing, will kick off at 1.45pm at Duncansfield Park.
