Jack McComish secures nine gold medals

LANARK Amateur Swimming Club ace Jack McComish won an incredible NINE gold medals for the Scottish Disability Sport Events team.

His incredible haul was made at last weekend's Great Britain DSE Championships in Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Jack (15), the only Briton to win an individual medal at July's European Deaf Championships in Dortmund, wowed the English crowd by collecting no fewer than eight individual golds and a relay gold.

He won all his events in tremendous style, recording personal best times and smashing eight British records along the way.

"This was a really big achievement by Jack," said Lanark ASC secretary Mary Kelly.
