Jack McComish wins Scottish championship swimming title

LANARK Amateur Swimming Club ace Jack McComish produced a superb swim to win the 200m breaststroke at the Scottish National Age Group Championships in Tollcross.

Jack (15), competing for the South Lanarkshire Swim Team, was never headed in a race he dominated from the start and won in 2mins 30.13secs. The youngster completed a fine meeting by finishing fourth in both the 100m breaststroke and 400m freestyle and sixth in the 1500m freestyle.

The club also had other success stories. For more information, pick up a copy of this week’s Carluke and Lanark Gazette which is in the shops now.
