Kilsyth gearing up for season ahead with re-signings

Kilsyth Rangers’ preparations for the new season are well in hand, a number of last season’s squad have now signed up, and a few will be moving on to try their 
luck elsewhere.

At present the club have re signed the following players from last year’s squad. Goalkeeper Michael Duke and defender Paul Doyle have committed themselves to the club for a further two years with Stephen McPeake, Phil Dolan, Graeme McLaren, David Waters, Paul Smith, Graeme McMillan, and Grant Lightbody signing for 
a further year.

Also re-signing for the forthcoming season is Ryan Carr who missed the most of last season through injury and who is hopeful that he can get back to full fitness to start playing again. A further addition to the playing staff is forward 
Andy McEwan who has joined the club for a second time from Perthshire Juniors and who previously had a season at Duncansfield before moving 
to Cumbernauld.

Centre forward Joe 
Barclay has left the club to sign for Ashfield Juniors and the club wish Joe all 
the best in this his second move away from 
-Duncansfield.

Work on the pitch is proceeding with goalmouths re-seeded and it is looking like being in tip top condition for the restart.

Manager Eric Sinclair and his assistant Jamie McKenzie have been busy on the player front and 
friendly games have been arranged prior to the start of the season.

These include Saturday, July 20 – at home to Falkirk Juniors, kick-off 2 p.m.; Wednesday, July 24 – away to Armadale at 7.15 p.m.; Saturday, July 27, 
home to Whitburn Juniors, 2 p.m.; Saturday, August 3, away to Hill of 
Beath, 2.30 p.m.

Contact has been made with several players to come to training and be involved in the friendly games prior to the season starting 
in earnest.

Details of opening 
fixtures in the sectional league cup will appear 
next week.
