Rob Roy gaffer Stewart Maxwell said: “Chris Duff was the star of the show scoring two goals, with Steven Aitken rounding off the day.”

“Pollok are a good team, and in the first 20 minutes the play was quite even but we were the more focused side in the second half.

Rabs have a hectic schedule over the coming weeks. They were due to play Glencairn away on Wednesday and take on Neilston at Guys Meadow, Cumbernauld, on Saturday.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Glencarin, Maxwell said: “There are no easy games when you get to the business end of the league. Everyone is fighting for their position.”

“Glencairn have won five games on the spin and need to win this game if they are to stand any chance of winning promotion.

“We just need to focus on each game in hand and as long as we don’t have any bad luck or refereeing decisions it will take a good team to beat us.”
