Lanark bowler Chantelle Geddes wins Lanarkshire Singles
THE birthday celebrations of Lanark bowls marvel Chantelle Geddes have been boosted by Lanarkshire Junior Girls Singles victories in each of the past two years.
Chantelle (16), of Bankhead Terrace, won her semi-final and final matches 21-13 and 21-16 respectively at Hamilton Caledonian Bowling Club on July 2 – the day before her birthday – to land the coveted title for the second year in succession.
“This competition is the biggest thing I have ever won,” said Chantelle, a member of Lanark Thistle Bowling Club.
