Lanark Tennis Club chase funding for upgrade

LANARK Tennis Club officials are currently trying to secure funding to upgrade the two floodlit astroturf courts and clubhouse at their Chapland Road base.

So it promises to be an exciting season for a club founded way back in 1908, which has 50 members aged three to 60+ who can play all year round when the weather allows.

“We hope to secure funding soon so that we can get the upgrade work on the courts done in May or June,” said club committee member Lynne Steer.
