Lanark Triathlon Club competes at Aberfeldy Half Ironman

LANARK Triathlon Club had another very successful mass outing when around half the club entered Aberfeldy Half Ironman.

A total of 41 competitors and supporters attended the event, with five solo entrants and seven relay teams taking part. The most notable success on the day was Lanark’s very own Dream Team, with Niall McLeod swimming, Alan Cardwell cycling and Derek Burnside running, collectively winning second place in the team entries and fourth place overall.

The two soloists who beat the Lanark team were none other than multiple world champion Catriona Morrison and record breaking Scottish Ironman, Graeme Stewart, which shows the strength of the competition.
