Lanark’s Alison Reid wins Tony Jacklin Junior Open
TWO years after shooting a net 63 to win the Tony Jacklin Junior Open at Lanark Golf Club, teenage Blackwood-based player Alison Reid fired a net 64 to triumph in the same competition.
Alison (17), of Green Ferns, beat 30 boys and one other girl in a title-winning performance which saw her handicap cut from 22 to 19.
“It’s a big honour to get this title again,” Alison said. “I can’t believe I have won it twice in such a short space of time.
