Lanark’s gymnastic girls are golden
LANARK Grammar School pupils Becki Gordon, Victoria Wilson, Gemma Phillips and Mari McKay took gold medals in the Level 1 team event at a top tournament promoting the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The Secondary Schools Gymnastics competition at Larkhall Academy, featuring 44 competitors in 11 teams, saw Lanark Grammar finish ahead of silver medallists Duncanrig Secondary and third-placed Strathaven Academy.
There was also medal glory for Lanark Grammar in the individual competition, with Becki Gordon taking silver.
