Lanark’s Ian Adam caddied at disabled golf championships

A FIFTY-year-old company director from Lanark has been describing the challenges he faced while caddying at disabled golf’s prestigious World Team Cup and 54-hole Scottish Open.

Ian Adam, boss of Streamline Shipping Group, provided essential support for Airdrie’s Gordon Waddell – who is registered blind and has a guide dog – at events played last month at Westerwood Golf Resort in Cumbernauld and nearby Dullatur Golf Club.

“I needed to line up Gordon’s club when he was hitting shots, look for his ball and help him to putt,” said Ian, of Bellfield Way.
