Lasley 'touch and go' to face Dons
Lasley (36) is recovering from a dead leg sustained after in a 50/50 challenge with Dundee United’s Callum Morris in ’Well’s 2-1 home win last Friday night.
“There is a bit of swelling in the leg,” Keith said. “It’s a case of waiting to see how it reacts to treatment. I will probably be touch and go for Saturday but hopefully it will be a possibility.
“The physio thinks I have a little chance. It depends on how quickly he gets the swelling down.”
Lasley cleared Morris of any blame for the challenge which forced him to leave the field early in the second half of Friday’s bruising encounter.
“It was full blooded from both sides,” added the Housewives’ Favourite.
“Unfortunately I came off with a bad injury.
“There was no malice in the challenge from either side.
“I was delighted with the result we got which eased the pain a little.”
Motherwell have also been rocked by the news that midfielder Stephen Pearson is out for six weeks. Pearo, who was still in a Glasgow hospital this week, has several broken ribs and a punctured lung which will rule him out until the end of next month.
But, on a positive note, Lasley said that team-mate Josh Law – who also limped off injured against United – would be fit to face the Dons.
“Josh will be fine,” Keith said. “He got a bad kick but he is managing to train ok. That is a boost.”
