Lasley's pain at seeing Hearts drubbing

“It was really tough watching what happened at Tynecastle,” said Keith, who’ll return this weekend.

“It’s never nice to see what was a bad day at the office.

“We never reached the levels we have over the past few weeks and months. We had to make a few changes, moving people about to make up for a couple of players missing.

“We weren’t quite at it on the day. That can happen; that’s football.

“The longer you are in it you know there is a little bump waiting around the corner.”

Keith said he didn’t want the Hearts debacle to derail what had been a very good period for ’Well over Christmas and New Year.

“We have a tough game against Ross County this Saturday and just want to get back to our good form,” he added.

“The manager has been saying that it’s all about how we react to the disappointment of last week.

“There is no point feeling sorry for ourselves. The next game can’t come quickly enough.

“We can’t wait to get out there and show we are going in the right direction again.”

Although County will be without injured top scorer Liam Boyce, Keith said that Brian Graham and (if he’s fit) Craig Curran would offer the visitors a goal threat.

Curran netted in a 3-0 County win the last time the two sides met, in Dingwall on November 21.
