Lesmahagow taekwon-do boy Mark Tomkins wins two golds and a silver at STA Scottish Open

TWO under-eight gold medals and one silver were the rewards for Lesmahagow taekwon-do kid Mark Tomkins at the STA Scottish Open in Greenock.

Mark (6), of Kelso Avenue, secured first places in points sparring and continuous sparring and added a patterns second place to complete a remarkable day.

His proud mum Kay, who runs Lesmahagow’s Masons Arms Hotel with her husband Mark Snr, said: “I felt really, really proud of what Mark did.”
