Milton Rovers FC benefits from Children In Need cash

WITH the annual BBC Children In Need television appeal hitting our screens this Friday, November 18, the Gazette this week spoke to a Carluke football club which is one of its many beneficiaries.

Milton Rovers FC, based at Burn Road, has received £3000 from Children In Need in each of the past two years and will receive a third payment for this amount in 2012.

This £9000 total – a funding amount matched by the club – will see a total of £18,000 supporting Milton Rovers’ Sporting Chance programme, paying for 15 to 18-year-olds to each do voluntary coaching at the club for nine hours a week.
