Graham, who boasts 23 wins from 30 fights, will face American Jim Alers for the Cage Warriors featherweight crown in Dublin on Hogmanay.

Graham said: “I’ve been looking for a world title fight for quite a while.

“I wanted a fight by the end of the year and my coach, James Doolan, knew I wanted it as well.

“It’s always been my dream to go for a world title.” said the man know as `The Afterburner’, going into the fight full of confidence, having only lost two of his last 17 fights.

And although he knows the champion will be tough to beat, he believes his striking ability will be more than a match for the champion’s wrestling skills.

Graham (25) combines his training at James’ Higher Level gym in Whitburn with working full time at Borders Biscuits in Lanark.
