Seventeen-year-old Lyle Walker, from Carstairs Junction, has made the Team GB Taekwon-do High Performance Academy squad and will soon be swapping Clydesdale for Manchester where he will be based as part of the elite team.

And for the next three years he will be hoping to impress the selectors enough to be on the plane to Rio and be part of the Team GB squad for the Olympics.
