Opening tee shot at Lanark Golf Club
AFTER a month blighted by poor weather during which the course was only open for ONE DAY of December, Lanark Golf Club captain Jim Park struck the opening tee shot of 2011 on New Year's morning.
There then followed an 18-hole foursome competition for the Orchard Shield, which was contested for the first time since 2008 and won by Tom Smith and Jim Bennett with a net score of 69.
