On top of their two home wins so far and a four-point win at Kent on Tuesday, the three points from their latest success on Wednesday night takes to the summit of the SGB Championship.

Team manager Cammi Brown said: "It's absolutely brilliant, I'm chuffed to bits. Again it was a gutsy performance and again everybody contributed.

"The guys who didn't do well last night did well tonight - so the team set-up is working like we hoped it would. When they all get going together it's going to be frightening.

"There were a lot of key moments tonight. Justin Sedgmen deserves special praise, he came up with a couple of big wins just when we needed them.

"Craig Cook and Ulrich Ostergaard scored important points, and even our guest Jordan Jenkins - in place of Jack Smith - did really well. Sam Jensen wasn't himself but made some changes to the bike and won a couple.

"Going on a southern tour and coming back with seven points is excellent. It's a pity we came within just one point of getting the fourth tonight but that's just being greedy.

"Not to be disrespectful to Birmingham, but there may be harder challenges ahead, and hopefully when they come a lot more of our riders fire at the same time."

The Tigers' busy week continues as they host Redcar Bears on Friday then take on the Bears away from home on Sunday.
