Pamela McNicol will represent Scotland at international pentathlon match

FOURTEEN-year-old Carluke girl Pamela McNicol will represent Scotland for the second consecutive year at the Schools International Pentathlon match against England, Ireland and Wales this Saturday, December 1 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

“Pamela is really chuffed to be picked,” said her proud mum Lesley.

“Getting her Scotland kit is what she is looking forward to as much as competing.

“She did really well in last year’s competition when the Scots finished third.

England will be the favourites, but hopefully the Scots can give them a run for their money.”

Pamela, who won the Scottish Schools U15 pentathlon at Grangemouth in June and the Scottish National U16 pentathlon at Pitreavie, is ranked first U16 female pentathlete in Scotland and third U15 pentathlete in the UK.
