£40 million investment for Mouse Castle Golf Club

FOLLOWING a proposed £40 million upgrade, it is hoped that the newly named Mouse Castle Golf Club at Eastend, Cleghorn, will within 10 years be hosting an annual European Tour.

The incredible investment, fronted by Lanarkshire based company Ringsdale Leisure, is expected to create around 400 jobs.

It will include a golf course revamp, stunning new castle-style clubhouse, training academy, swimming pool, gym, health spa and driving range.

If planning permission is granted, the exciting project will also see the construction of a 153-bedroom hotel and 14 on-site chalets.

A Ringsdale Leisure spokesman said: “Our aims are that our new-look main course will be hosting Open Championship qualifiers within five years and be the venue for an annual European Tour tournament within 10 years.”
