Its recently, and extensively, refurbished courts and pavilion - managed by Glasgow Life - offers a varied programme for all age groups and abilities and the club is extremely welcoming to new players.

The club also gives excellent value in terms of the coaching provided and the amount charged and invests in its coaches as well by giving them the opportunity to progress in their career as well as develop as a person.

Activities and programmes offered by the club include Great British Tennis Weekends, Tennis Tuesdays, Advantage Tennis, Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis and Parent and Child Sessions as well as Mini Tennis open days.

Mary, who was integral to the creation of the club, said: “Queen’s Park Community Tennis Club, in partnership with Glasgow Sport, provides access to tennis for the whole community.

“This award recognises everyone’s effort in achieving our success. With refurbished courts and pavilion we hope to continue to increase participation in our great sport in the years ahead.”

Due to a recent funding bid, led by Mary, the club has been awarded a grant through the LTA Club Funding Support Service to enlarge its work with local community groups and schools.
