Racketball challenge for Mary's Meals

THERE'S a great new racket which has just been launched in Clydesdale to give local people the opportunity to have a ball!

During January and February, schools, private clubs, public sports centres and offices are being encouraged by Scottish Squash and Racketball Ltd to take up the exciting sport of racketball and raise funds for Mary's Meals.

Speaking at the local launch in Carluke High School on Monday, Clydesdale Labour MSP Karen Gillon said: "Racketball is a really enjoyable and exciting new game and is an excellent sport for us to enjoy through the dark winter nights.

"The current winter weather is not exactly conducive for outside sport and with a number of excellent courts and gym halls across South Lanarkshire there really is no excuse not to try racketball.

"With the added incentive of supporting Mary's Meals I can't think of a better time to get active and try something new."
