

RANGERS go through to the quarter final of the Central League cup and will now meet Clydebank, who progressed at the expense of Cumbernauld United.
Once again it took Rangers some time to break down the resistance of the lower league club, but once ahead the result was never really in doubt. The combination of dogged persistance, superior fitness and good discipline has carried them through a spell when performances have not quite matched those earlier in the season.
